Adam comes to GSF from a career at the intersection of entrepreneurship & development. He launched the Aga Khan Foundation’s Impact Investing Initiative and has a passion for entrepreneurs who boldly attack pressing global challenges. Restless for new cultures and people, Adam has worked on 4 continents in the past year and holds a Masters in International Business and Development Economics from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
Bhavna is a true global citizen, and has grown up around the world, including India, Bangladesh, Nigeria, U.K., Tanzania and the U.S.
Bhavna has spent close to 8 years in investment management. Most recently, she was a Vice President in the Alternatives Investments Group at Lazard in New York, where she was responsible for business and product development of its hedge funds.
Bhavna got her MBA in social impact at NYU-Stern, following which her passion for social entrepreneurship brought her back to India. She is currently the Director of the National Social Entrepreneurship Forum (NSEF), India’s premier youth platform for social innovation and change, where she leads the organization’s efforts to educate, inspire and mentor budding young social entrepreneurs among the top colleges and universities of India.
Bhavna is a former Miss India New York, actress, model, dancer, TV anchor, and an avid marathon runner.
Chris is passionate about sustainability, food, and design. He managed the research programs of the Yale Center for Business and the Environment and worked at a San Francisco food-tech startup before co-founding the New York-based crowdfunding company Zokos. His work has been covered by TIME, Forbes, Wired, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, and The Economist. Chris has a Masters Degree from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
Damini is currently a student at the University of California, Berkeley studying Economics. Although she was raised in England, she spent much of her childhood visiting India where she intends to pursue her keen interest in the startup ecosystem. Before coming to GSF, she worked with social entrepreneurs in London and Mumbai, in the areas of criminal rehabilitation and education finance. She hopes to continue exploring entrepreneurship throughout her college career and beyond.
Prior to becoming a Young India Fellow in 2012, Jery cofounded DialBlood.com, an initiative to connect blood donors to recipients through a phone call. He is also on the organizing team of the Global Humanitarian Technology Conference in Silicon Valley. Jery did his engineering degree from College of Engineering Trivandrum and worked for a year at Mahindra and Mahindra.
Marina brings to GSF broad consulting expertise in IT, finance, and capital markets as well as in marine shipping and audit. She is an avid traveler, diver, and a multilingual, speaking English, Russian, Ukrainian, as well as basic German and Hindi. Marina holds MSc in
Banking & Finance from University of Leeds (UK) a Master’s Degree in Audit and State Financial Control from Kiev National Economic University (Ukraine), and an MBA from INSEAD.
You would think Rachna has been preparing to be an EiR her whole career, with expertise in customer segmentation, traditional, digital, & social marketing analytics, market research, data warehousing, big and medium data solutions, sales force strategy operations management. She has a MBA from Chicago Booth School of Business, a Masters in Management Information Systems and a Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering.
In more than two decades of work that defies definition Sanjay applied his talents to organizations like Coca-Cola Co., Allianz Group, Bajaj Allianz, Ogilvy, Times of India Group and Reliance Capital. He has proven success record of challenging leadership across diverse consumer industries of FMCG, Media, Retail Finance, Investments, Insurance, Home & Commercial Lending. He is an economics graduate and has a PGDMM in marketing.
Srinath recently moved from Boston to India to take part in its growth story. Prior to the move, he spent six years with EMC. As a product manager part of a senior leadership team, Srinath worked on identifying new business opportunities and launching new solutions for the information security market. He is excited about building a strong ecosystem for entrepreneurship in India. Srinath has an MBA from the Indian School of Business in Finance and Strategy, and an M.S. and B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He enjoys playing musical instruments, sailing, and snowboarding.
Entrepreneurship was a true journey for Tanuj, a deep dive into the realities of life. After 4 years of investment banking in New York, he followed a similar journey through Food Ka Mood, Mumbai’s first online food ordering portal which he founded and then successfully exited in 2012. Tanuj earned his undergraduate degree Cum Laude from Ohio Wesleyan University.
Vikul Goyal is a global energy guru with field experience in Africa, India, and the Middle East. Since being named National Talent Search Scholar in 2000, he has built an impressive portfolio that pushes the next frontier of energy exploration that will power our planet. Vikul holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor of technology in mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati.
